Phil McDonald

If severe September weather or unexpected household hazards make your home temporarily uninhabitable, a home protection arrangement covers your family's temporary hotel bills, dining expenses, and relocation cost. It keeps your daily living standards intact, so your children stay in their regular school routines while your home undergoes repairs. Setting up this safeguard now provides your household with a secure safety net through major life interruptions. Recovering from the unexpected and having a policy with State Farm Insurance is an important decision for you and your family. At Phil McDonald Insurance Agency, we are committed to empowering individuals, organizations, and communities to reach their fullest potential and make their dreams a reality. We believe that this year holds the key to unlocking new levels of success, innovation, and transformation. Through our services, products, and unwavering dedication, we are here to support you on your journey towards greatness. Let's embrace the new year with open arms, unwavering motivation, and a shared belief that anything is possible. Let me tell you about my family:

I love living in Kentucky as I think it is a great place to raise a family. My son currently lives in Georgia, my oldest daughter lives in Florida and my youngest is attending college. My wife and I have horses and love being outside with animals. We also have a GOAT named Kevin! I am a member of the sandwich generation, and I have a healthy respect of where one is in life and the responsibilities that come with helping others. In fact, that is why I am here for you today, I want to help you for as long as I can with your insurance needs. I understand the demands of being a son, father, husband, and provider for my family. We have a lot in common, and I am eager to get to know you better. I have prepared all my life for you with getting a teaching and counseling degree from Western Kentucky University ('87, '89) to better myself for our opportunity. I have been a basketball and football coach to being a past president of the London-Laurel County United Way. Please join my office and see why Laurel County is insuring with our office.

Q: How is the replacement cost of my home calculated?

A: Replacement cost is the estimated amount needed to rebuild your home from the ground up using current local material and labor costs. This is different from market value, which includes land value. Phil McDonald in London can calculate an accurate replacement estimate for your home.

Q: Does renters insurance cover my personal belongings when I am away from home?

A: Yes! Personal property protection under a renters account generally follows you wherever you go, protecting items stolen from your car or lost during travel. Phil McDonald serves London and can explain how off-premises protection works.

Q: How do my beneficiaries receive a life insurance payout?

A: When an account holder passes away, designated beneficiaries submit a claim along with a death certificate. The payout is usually delivered tax-free as a lump sum to help replace lost income, cover final wishes, or pay off debt. Phil McDonald in London is dedicated to helping local families navigate this process smoothly.

Q: Will filing a small claim cause my monthly rates to go up?

A: Rate adjustments depend on the claim type, fault, loss severity, and your overall claim history. For small maintenance issues, paying out-of-pocket might make more sense than filing a claim. Phil McDonald in London can talk through scenarios before you officially submit a claim.
